Historically, music has evolved a lot in the last decades. From the start of blues, to the creation of the electric guitar or even rock and roll (Elvis presley aka the king, star of rock and roll).

Yesterday, a small concert of a men called The Man of Canterbury to learn more about music history was held on our school . Otherwise, most of us wouldn’t know about these facts mentioned before.

The man an of canterbury introduced to us, talking about one of the most famous groups on the world “coldplay”. Shortly afterwards, he sang Viva la Vida, and told us to do the ahhh on the chorus. Honeslty not much people didn’t. Neverthless, he keeped asking us for singing in the next songs, and finally some of the people on the room joined him. Mostly on the final one, last chrismas from Wham! It was quite nice, lively and pleasant.

Eventually, he started to talk about the last 70 years on music. From the starting, he talked about Blues, a music that most of black people made on the 50’s when they were racially separated. He sang a song with his acoustic guitar and showed us the original one, which was unique. He also showed us mixtures of music from blues, like soul that also contained roots from gospel. And how could i forget about Aretha Frankin! The queen of soul! That women had a amazing taste of music.

Even thougth I found more interesting the heavy metal area, in which they introduced led zeppelin. I had known them before but i did’t know the song that he put us and it was extraordinary.

As you could know by reading, i enjoyed quite much the event, and I’m hoping to have a similar experience on the future. Thanks for coming, Man from Canterbury!
