The Curtain Goes Up!
On Friday the ninth of December, we ventured out into the pouring rain and headed towards the Sala Bretón.
We saw the play called “Change the Channel”. It was about a woman who was going to work as a reporter on the BBC but she finds out that instead, she has been hired as a cleaner at the HBBC! There, she comes across a televisión network in decline whose director is extremely sexist. At the end, she takes charge of the situation and the different programmes end up being a success!
One of the best things about the play was the participation of our classmates. It was hilarious seeing them as actors for one day.
Moreover, the feminist message the play wanted to transmit is still very important and it was well placed in the story.
To sum up, it was an enjoyable activity to practise our English outside the class.
P.S. It was definitely better than last year’s!!
